Tours for ChildrenHigh Tech up Close.
The production facility at Continental Regensburg is not only a workplace for around 2,400 people, but also a self-contained world in its own right and one that must appear really futuristic to outsiders – especially children! This is why we’re giving the children of Continental employees the opportunity to embark on their own voyage of discovery through the production halls. This child-friendly adventure tour encompasses all manner of amazing sights, including driverless robots that dash through the corridors as if by magic, machines that talk to each other and robots that work hand in hand with human beings. And once they’ve finished the tour, the children can let their imaginations run wild and create tiny works of art using PCBs and other electronic components.
The tours are intended exclusively for children of Continental employees as well as children of temporary workers employed at Continental. Participation is free, and the children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
After participation has been confirmed, your children will be registered with plant security by the guided tours team. On the day of the tour, please report to plant security yourself to collect your child's visitor ID.
The meeting point for the guided tours is the main entrance to the “Continental LIVE!” visitor center.
You must register in advance in order to take part in a tour. During the tours, which take place exclusively during ongoing production, selected areas of the production facility will be visited and explained in a child-friendly way.
